Suffern's Joe Biddy to be Inducted Into Armory Coaches Hall of Fame at AT&T Hall of Fame InvitationalPublished by
Joe Biddy has been the head boys cross country coach at Suffern since 1969, head boys indoor track coach since 1973 and head girls indoor track coach since 1978. In that time, Biddy has led his boys cross country teams to more victories than any other coach in New York history, having won 624 dual meets and 105 invitationals. Biddy's girls and boys teams have won 15 sectional, 14 league, 13 Rockland County, 37 New York state intersectional, two New York State Public School, 25 New York State Federation and seven national titles. Because of his unwavering dedication to track and field and cross country, Biddy, along with the seven coaches listed below will be inducted into the Armory Coaches Hall of Fame during the AT&T Hall of Fame Invitational on December 19. Andy Capellan New Rochelle (NY) Shaun Dietz Medgar Evers (NY) Steve Borbet Bay Shore (NY) Mike Glynn Ridgewood (NJ) Nicola Martial Medgar Evers (NY) Art Kranick Saratoga (NY) Linda Kranick Saratoga (NY) We will release bio information on each of the inductees during the weeks leading up to the AT&T Hall of Fame Invitational The AT&T Hall of Fame Invitational is expected to draw over 3,000 competitors from high schools across the Northeast. Athletes will compete in varsity, frosh/soph, small and large school divisions. Schools with less than 525 boys or girls in grades 9-11 will compete in the small schools division. Each athlete will be allowed to compete in three events and there will be no limit on the number of team entries per event. The Winner of the AT&T Hall of Fame Invitational boys and girls miles will receive an invitation to the NYRR Millrose Games High School mile if they have broken 4:20/5:00 at some point in their career as of 1/24/16. Otherwise those invitations become “at large” bids. The meet will also feature the unveiling of a brand new Armory Coaches Hall of Fame display and launch of our new field event results displays system, which consists of double-sided, live result scoreboards at each field event.
